History

SUCCESS magazine is the embodiment of more than 100 years of dedicated stewardship. Founded by Orison Swett Marden in the 1890s as a manifesto for his “New Thought Philosophy” teaching positive thinking, life skills and discipline, the launch of SUCCESS magazine has been cited as the birth of the modern personal-development movement that now is a reported $11 billion industry in the United States alone.

For more than a century, SUCCESS has been the centerpiece of the personal-achievement realm and the only magazine dedicated to providing unique insights, ideas and guidance to help motivated businesspeople lead truly successful lives. The good stewards—previous owners, publishers and editors of SUCCESS—have included such luminaries as Napoleon Hill, W. Clement Stone and Og Mandino.

The April/May 2008 issue marks the re-launch of SUCCESS and a return to its roots as the preeminent personal-achievement magazine.
